Think back to a time early in your career when you met with your boss
for a performance review. Do you ever remember your boss stating something
about your ability in a certain area, as if that was all you were
good at?
Or has someone ever introduced you at a business function by stating an
area of your expertise as if that was all you did? (Which made you think,
“Hey! That’s only a piece of what I do, but it’s certainly not all I do!”)

The two types of management and leadership styles are task-oriented and employee-oriented. The task-oriented style of management is a unique one. As a task-oriented manager, the person maintains close supervision over the employees to ensure that the task gets done to his satisfaction. He not only has a unique style, but he is also considered as the “middle man” and his job is to appease his organization, and the clients. The other style of leadership is the employee-oriented. The employee-oriented manager is involved in motivating the employees rather than in controlling them.

It’s difficult to tell what we’re going to be satisfied with after our days of work have finished.
Have you ever actually sat and pondered retirement? What will you do on a day-to-day basis once you’re finally finished with your career? Will you go sailing on that dream yacht it took you twenty years to pay off? Will you venture all over the United States in search of quaint towns and antique shops? Or maybe you’re more interested in just kicking back at the old homestead and reading the paper. This routine certainly varies from person to person.
Fortunately if we can’t seem to come up with any wonderful ideas, there are always crafts for the elderly available.
