While any divorce can be difficult and painful, it is especially hard when there are children and child custody is an issue. Trying to work out a fair and equitable custody arrangement can be an awful experience for both parents and children. When faced with this problem, it is important to maintain a sense of stability and belonging for the child. If the parents are not careful, their child custody arrangement (battle) may cause major trauma to their affected child or children.

We have all grown up with dreams of the princess bride fairy tale. Every woman, no matter how sensible, has been indoctrinated since birth with Disney-esq. romantic notions about marrying Prince Charming and living happily ever after.
Many women who find themselves in the already turbulent and transition filled midlife years have to face another reality: the gradual decay of the marriage myth which seems to come to a head somewhere right around 50 years old. It seems that when midlife women begin to seek their power and independence, marriage becomes…optional.

The dread I felt encompassed my thoughts and feelings. My energy stopped flowing and immediately I felt my soul complain once again that nothing was ever going my way. Depression took control of my body and reminded me of everything I did for others and how I was never repaid.
Suddenly, a Holy Spirit thought came to my mind with these words. “Something good is about to happen.” An energy sparked and ignited my mind into the possibilities of what good thing was about to take place. I was no longer feeling rejected and alone. I was anticipating good fortune and the expectancy changed my whole outlook on life.
