The Business Of The Well-fed Artist

May 7th, 2008 by admin

If I could chime in on what I’m over and done with as an artist, I’m through with the term “starving artist” and am ready to replace that with “well-fed artist.” A couple of days ago I spoke with a prospective client of mine who was a painter, and within 30 seconds I had heard all the stereotypes of the starving artist.

“I have no money.”
“I can’t start anything right now.”
“I have to go through some turmoil first.”

Living In A Campervan

April 26th, 2008 by admin

Following a recent article I wrote about living wild in the so much civilized environment that we suffer today, I wanted to specifically focus on an idea that I introduced but did not explore to the very end of it.

There are multiple possibilities that we have to escape from the normal living conditions that so many stress and depression problems cause. Two of the most typical ones are living in a campervan, and living in a boat. While I think that the possibility of living in a boat is one that really applies to very few people (even if I know some of them and you they’re very interesting people) the idea of living in a camper should apply to everybody.

The Cavalier Hotel At Virginia Beach, Virginia - A Great Vacation And Travel Destination

March 1st, 2008 by admin

Virginia Beach has really made a name for itself, but it had some help in doing so. The Cavalier Hotel really helped Virginia Beach, Virginia, become as popular as it is. In fact, back in 1927 the hotel was founded and since then it has hosted many celebrities and famous people. Today, there are two hotels available, each one focusing on a different type of guest. One is the modern Cavalier on the Ocean and the other is the original Cavalier on the Hill. This hotel is part of the Historic Hotels of America and it is really worth checking out and even more worth staying there. The hotel overlooks the beach and it is simply beautiful. If you are looking for a way to relax and unwind then the Cavalier Hotel is the place you have been looking for.

Retirement In Puerto Vallarta - Retire To Where And Do What?

February 5th, 2008 by admin

The term “Golden Years” seems to have all kinds of connotations; to some it may mean the beginning of the end, to others more fortunate it means the years of freedom with gold! Yes, to many of the latest generation of baby boomers about to retire or recently retired, the “Golden Years” have become the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, i.e., the free time and the financial ability to enjoy their favorite activities and perhaps even serve a purpose to their community. Retirement often coincides with important life changes; over time, a retiree will virtually eliminate the frequent social contacts with previous work-related associates, will have a completely different spending pattern, will have the time for new or inactive hobbies, sports, or other activities, might sell a long term residence, and yes, may even move to a new location.
